Classic Banana Bread
Moist, tender banana bread sliced and ready to serve.

Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

Instructions

  1. 1Preheat oven to 350F (175C).
  2. 2Mix butter into mashed bananas.
  3. 3Mix in sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla.
  4. 4Sprinkle in baking soda and salt and mix.
  5. 5Add flour and mix until just combined.
  6. 6Pour into a buttered 4x8 inch loaf pan.
  7. 7Bake 55 to 65 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. 8Cool in pan for 5 minutes then turn out.
