Instructions

  1. 1Whisk flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt in a large bowl.
  2. 2In another bowl whisk buttermilk, egg, butter and vanilla.
  3. 3Pour wet ingredients into dry and stir until just combined — lumps are fine.
  4. 4Heat a griddle over medium heat and lightly butter it.
  5. 5Pour 1/4 cup batter per pancake.
  6. 6Cook until bubbles form on surface then flip.
  7. 7Cook until golden on the other side.
  8. 8Serve immediately with maple syrup.
